Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT A. CHENEY 1927 - 2003. Robert (Bob) died Monday, April 21, 2003 at the age of 75. Bob is survived by his three children, Valerie (Jay) Watson and Douglas Cheney of Saskatoon, SK and Sandra (Steve) Kwong of Kelowna, BC; four grandchildren, Kelsey and Gage Watson and Evan and Alex Kwong. Bob was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB and graduated from the University of Manitoba College of Civil Engineering in 1950. Bob married Kathleen Oakes of Winnipeg in 1952 and moved to Regina in 1960, then to Saskatoon in 1964. He worked for Dominion Bridge until the early 70s, when he formed Midland Industrial Structures where he worked until his retirement in 1985. For more than 20 years he participated as a track official with Saskatchewan Athletics and had been a treasurer and director for Bob Adams Foundation for a number of years. He will be missed by many. A memorial celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26 at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Ave. N., Saskatoon, SK. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Bob Adams Foundation, 2020 College Dr., Saskatoon, SK S7N 2W4, or to a charity of your choice. Thanks to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at St. Pauls Hospital for their exceptional kindness and compassionate care of Bob during his final days. Thanks also to all of his friends and neighbours who helped him in so many ways during his illness.
